He’s currently busy filming a KBS drama, Hometown of Legends [전설의 고향] and has a film still to come out; Jae Hee explained that he was a little taken aback that the enlistment date was so near, with all the work he has planned, but he doesn’t plan to defer the date.
His upcoming movie, fantasy-action thriller Mandate (directed by Park Hee-jun, Raging Bull [성난 황소]), tells the story of the battle between a “ghost hunter” and the demon of serial killers he hunts. The movie releases in September, and Jae Hee is scheduled to begin official promotional activities next month, although his service date doesn’t leave him much time to do that. (Let’s just hope he doesn’t fall prey to that ubiquitous Overworked Celebrity Syndrome.)

Actor Jae Hee will play the main character in a new horror-fictitious movie named Mandate. He will play the person who specializes in annihilating the fiend' soul. This is the first time Jae Hee challenge his skill in action film.
Mandate has been invested about 3 billions won; the film's name means "Mission bestowed by gods". In this film, Jae Hee plays Choi Kang, a young and talented man over 20 years old. 제작사 메가픽쳐스제이씨 측은 15일 재희가 출연한 "맨데이트: 신이 주신 임무'(감독 박희준, 이하 '맨데이트')가 후반작업 종료와 함께 9월 중 개봉할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
'맨데이트'는 10년간 연쇄살인사건이 발생한 마을을 배경으로 악령에 맞서는 고스트 헌터의 활약상과 이들을 뒤쫓는 형사의 이야기를 그린 영화다.
'싸움의 기술' 이후 3년 만에 영화 주연을 맡은 재희는 '맨데이트'에서 세상의 범죄를 조종하는 악령에 맞서는 고스트 헌터 역으로 출연한다. 재희는 최근 드라마 '아빠 셋, 엄마 하나' '마녀유희' 등에 출연했으며 지난해 완성한 영화 '일편단심 양다리'의 개봉을 기다리고 있다.
재희와 함께 커피 CF로 얼굴이 알려진 신예 유다인이 세상에서 단 하나뿐인 악령 캐치 카메라로 악령들을 소탕하는 신기자 역을 맡았다.
