[아시아경제신문 박건욱 기자]배우 재희가 자신의 군생활 모습을 공개했다.

재희는 지난 6일 육군 블로그 '아미 인사이드'를 통해 최근 자신의 근황과 심경을 전했다.

재희는 "제 2탄약창에서 복무하고 있는 일병 이현균"이라고 자신을 소개한 뒤 "나는 탄약취급병이다. 전투시 필요한 탄약들을 불출하고 다쓴 탄을 수거해서 어느 상황에서든 탄을 사용할수 있도록 관리하는 임무를 하고 있다"며 맡은 임무를 소개했다.

그는 이어 "군에서 느끼는게 자기 자신에게 당당해지는 시간인것 같다. 대한민국 남자라면 당연히 할 일을 완수했다는것에 당당해 질 것 같고 또 군 안에서 여러 사람들을 만나면서 인맥형성과 열린 마음, 참을성을 많이 배울 수 있는것 같다"고 말했다.

최근 뮤지컬 'MINE' 공연을 성황리에 마친 것에 대해서는 "군에 와서 뮤지컬을 할 줄은 정말 몰랐다. 기회가 와서 운좋게 하게 됐다. 노래까지는 좋았지만 맡은역할이 B-Boy팀 리더라 춤을 격하게 추는 장면이 많았다"며 "하지만 생각처럼 몸이 움직이지 않아서 한동작을 100번씩 연습했다. 남들보다 연습 시간이 3배정도 걸렸다"며 어려움을 토로하기도 했다.

재희는 마지막으로 "(군인이 된후)나라에 대한 자랑스러운 마음이 생겼다"며 "아들 잘있으니깐 어머니도 밥 잘챙겨드시고 건강하게 잘 있어주셨으면 좋겠다. 걱정말라"는 인사를 전했다.

한편 재희는 지난해 8월 충남 논산 육군훈련소에 입소해 현역으로 군복무 중이다.

지난 3월 입대한 배우 김재원이 양동근 재희 등과 함께 국방홍보지원병사에 지원했다.

21일 국방홍보원 홈페이지 공지에 따르면 김재원은 최근 국방홍보지원대원 서류전형에서 합격해 오는 28일 면접에 참석한다.

김재원은 군복무 중인 양동근과 재희(본명 이현균) 등과 나란히 이름을 올려 눈길을 끈 가운데 연기자 부문에는 이상엽, 정성윤 등 가수 부문에 더 넛츠 보컬 박준식 등이 서류전형에 통과했다.

양동근과 재희는 올 초 군 뮤지컬 '마인'에 출연해 강타 등과 호흡을 맞춘 바 있다.

현재 군 복무 중인 연예인들 가운데 HOT 출신 가수 토니안(본명 안승호), 젝스키스 출신 김재덕, NRG 출신 노유민, 공유(본명 공지철), 싸이(본명 박재상) 등이 연예병사로 활동하고 있다.

이병 재희(본명 이현균)이 군 입대 후 군대에 대한 두려움이 없어졌다고 밝혔다.

재희는 30일 오후 4시 경기도 과천 시민회관에서 열린 건군 60주년 기념 뮤지컬 ‘마인’(MINE) 기자 간담회에서 “군입대 후 오히려 더 밝아 보이는 것은 아무래도 군에 대한 두려움이 없어졌기 때문일 것이다”며 “입대 전 군에 대한 두려움을 느꼈었다”고 털어놨다.

재희는 “군에서 내가 가진 재능을 보여주면서 새로운 것을 배우고 할 수 있어 기쁘다. 그 기쁨이 얼굴에 드러나는 것 같다”며 “많은 의미를 담고 있는 뮤지컬이 잘 돼서 예술을 하는 많은 장병들이나 후에 군에 입대할 예술인들도 군에서 재능을 보여줄 수 있는 그런 장이 마련됐으면 좋겠다”고 바람을 밝혔다.

이어 재희는 “군에서 하는 획기적이고 뜻 깊은 일에 참여할 수 있어 기쁘다”며 “훌륭한 공연에 내가 껴서 누가 되지 않을까 싶었는데, 열심히 잘 해서 1차 때보다 좋은 공연이라는 말을 듣고 싶다”고 말했다.

강타가 주연을 맡은 뮤지컬 ‘마인’(MINE)은 창군 이래 최초로 제작되는 군 뮤지컬. 지난 2000년 DMZ에서 발생한 이종명 중령의 실화를 모티브로 군인 아버지와 신세대 아들의 갈등과 화해를 그린 작품이다.

연예인 출신으로 현재 군 복무중인 안칠현 일병(예명 강타, 제8보병사단 수색대대)과 양동근 일병(제3보병사단 군악대)과 이현균 이병(예명 재희, 2탄약창 1탄약중대) 외에 전 육군 장병을 대상으로 한 공개 오디션을 통해 선발한 육군 장병 40여명이 배우로 참여했다.

뮤지컬 ‘마인’은 30일부터 2월 13일까지 과천 시민회관에서 공연되고, 2월 20일부터 3월 1일까지는 고양 어울림 극장에서 공연된다.

Oct. 24 to 26: “Army Musical - Mine.” Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Korean Military, a talented group of soldiers and popular Korean stars who are currently fulfilling their mandatory military service are staging a musical.

“Mine,” Korea’s first army musical, refers literally to a land mine. But is also a metaphor for the barriers and obstacles created between family members and the army.

The story revolves around what happened on a fateful day when a young lieutenant threw himself in harm’s way to save one of his men. Through the tragic accident, a father and his son grow closer together as they discover what they really value in life.

The show stars 40 soldiers who are currently serving in the military. Among the cast are singer and actor Ahn Chil-hyun, also known as Kangta, and the rapper Yang Dong-geun.

Over 400 hopefuls auditioned in June for the other singing and acting parts.

Musical star Lee Byung-jun, who isn’t serving in the army, plays the main role of Lee Jong-myung.

Tickets range from 30,000 won to 40,000 won.

The musical starts at 8 p.m. on Friday, 3 and 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

창군 이래 최초로 제작된 軍 창작 뮤지컬 '마인(MINE)'이 오는 1월 30일부터 3월 1일까지 과천 시민회관과 고양 어울림극장에서 앙코르 공연을 개최한다.

지난해 10월부터 두 달간 서울, 부산, 광주 등 전국 6개 도시 순회공연을 펼쳐 관람객들과 군 내부에서 좋은 평가를 받아 올 초, 수도권 지역에서의 연장 공연이 결정된 것이다.

이번 앙코르 공연에는 지난해와 마찬가지로 연예인 출신으로 현재 군 복무중인 안칠현 일병(예명 강타, 제8보병사단 수색대대)과 양동근 이병(제3보병사단 군악대) 외에도 지난해 8월 입대한 배우 이현균 이병(예명 재희, 2탄약창 1탄약중대)이 참여한다.

지난 1월 5일부터 연습에 참여한 이현균 이병은 “실력있는 친구들과 함께 생활하고, 연습하면서 많이 배우고 있다”며 “뒤늦게 합류한 만큼 남들보다 노력하여 인생의 첫 성공적인 뮤지컬 도전기를 쓰고 싶다”고 전했다.

기획단계에서부터 ‘군의 획기적인 시도’로 많은 이들의 관심을 받았던 뮤지컬 <마인MINE>을 제작한 육군본부는 지난 12월 초 2008한국PR대상까지 거머쥐며 문화예술을 활용한 군의 성공적인 문화마케팅 전략을 대외적으로 인정받았다. 또한 지난 공연에서 실시한 관객설문조사에서도 약 70% 이상의 관객들이 ‘군과 예술의 만남’을 고무적인 것으로 평가했다.

한편, 육군본부에서는 정훈 교육 차원에서 군 장병들의 뮤지컬 관람을 권장하기 위해 휴가 1일 추가 보장 제도를 마련하였다. 이는 공연 기간 내에 휴가를 나가는 육군 장병들 중 ‘마인’을 관람하면, 이를 교육 시간으로 인정하여 휴가를 하루 더 보장받는 제도이다.

휴가 예정인 장병들에 한하여 각 소속 부대를 통해 사전 신청을 받게 되며, 동반 1인까지 무료 관람이 가능하다. 기획 프로듀서인 이영노 중령(육군본부 정책홍보실)은 “지난해 인기리에 공연을 마쳤지만 아직도 제대로 된 공연을 만나보지 못한 장병들이 많다”며 “이번 공연을 통해 보다 많은 장병이 문화 경험은 물론 군인으로서의 자부심을 느꼈으면 좋겠다”고 말했다.
