
Han Chae-young and Jae Hee, who play the lead roles in the KBS miniseries "Sassy Girl Chun-hyang," have been named spokespersons of this year's Chun-hyang Festival. They were also named honorary citizens of the city of Namwon, the birthplace of the Legend of Chun-hyang.
"Han Chae-young and Jae Hee have contributed significantly to spreading a positive image of the city of Namwon by playing Chun-hyang and Mon-ryong in 'Sassy Girl Chun-hyang,'" said an official from the Namwon City government.
This year, the Chun-hyang Festival will be held from May 4-8 in Gwanghallu and the Chun-hyang Culture and Arts Center in Namwon.
Han Chae-young, Jae Hee Selected 'Coolest Couple'

Of the 18,092 respondents, an overwhelming majority of 14,448 (80 percent) chose Han and Jae as the coolest couple.
The runner-up couple was Han Ji-hye and Lee Dong-geon, who co-starred in the movie "My Boyfriend is Type B," receiving 1,742 votes.
The third spot went to Koh Hyun-jeong and Cho In-seong from the drama "Spring Days" (1,163 votes), followed by Kim Hee-seon and Kwon Sang-woo from "Sad Love Story" (739 votes).
"Be Cool!" starring Uma Thurman and John Travolta, opens in Korea on April 8.
Jae Hee Makes Inroads into Taiwan

Young-generation star Jae Hee is poised to emerge as a new hallyu star. He will visit Taiwan on July 10 to promote the series “Sassy Girl Chun-hyang,” in which he plays the lead. The series has been airing in that country since June 4 on GTV as a weekend drama.
During his visit, Jae is determined to do his best to promote “Sassy Girl Chun-hyang” by meeting over 100 fans, appearing on a live show on GTV and holding a press conference with over 20 journalists expected from the local media. On July 12 and 13, he will also hold a photo session for his mobile photo album.
After finishing the filming of the movie “The Art of Fight,” where Jae co-stars alongside Baek Yun-shik, in late August, the actor will launch a promotion tour in Japan, where he is known for his role in Kim Ki-deok’s movie “3-Iron.” The tour is expected to further boost Jae’s popularity as a K-pop star in that country.

Actress Han Chae-young and actor Jae Hee, the lead characters of the TV drama "Sassy Girl, Chunhyang," held their first fan meeting at Le Meridien Grand Pacific Hotel in Tokyo on May 1.
Reporting on the fan meeting on May 2, The Sankei Sports introduced the drama as a modern remake of the classic Korean novel "Chunhyang Story." According to the Japanese daily, about 1,200 Japanese fans at the meeting became very excited and gave cheers when Jae Hee ran into the hall.
